Arthur is a softspoken guy with an interestingly unsettling position... He's a cult leader. Arthur takes a lot of pride in his commune and truly believes it's the key to everyone's salvation. Arthur often speaks to his god, The Hydra. He recieved visions from it. These visions are often intense and cause Arthur a fair bit of distress. The Hydra also tends to communicate to Arthur and the other cult members in cryptic and indirect ways.Arthur and his second-in-command Eden are quite close. Eden often looks after Arthur when his visions get particularly emotionally disressing. Although, something concerning has begun happening to the cult's beloved leader, his faith has seemingly begun to waver. Arthur has seemingly begun to grapple with his position as a leader of a toxic community, and he's seemingly trapped within this role. Will he manage to change? Or will he fall back into old habits?
The Cult
Arthur's cult operates in a very specific way, there is no strong sense of hierarchy within the community. Everyone in the cult is expected to work on their farm and produce goods in order for them to keep their lifestyle afloat, this includes Arthur and Eden. Everyone has alotted chores for the day and everyone is expected to know some sort of craft or have a specialty. The cult strives to be connected with nature and community members often spend a lot of their time outdoors. The cult only consumes approved media and is not allowed to consume any sort of media from the outside world without prior permission. Their holy days are Sunday and Monday, representing the two days Arthur recieved reality-altering visions from the Hydra. The community is around 50 puppets big, and everyone shares housing. usually with 2-4 puppets per home. There are punishments for those who break the cult's core rules, usually involving social punishment like shunning, giving the individual more chores, etc.
