There are an infinite number of realities with an infinite number of branching paths. This is referred to as the Universal Web. The Dissoverse exists in the spaces between the universal webs, paradoxically creating it's own web in the negative space. This paradoxical negative-space web is known as the Dissoverse. It extends infinitely up and down, while most positive-space realities exist in a flat plane, extending infinitely from side-to-side. The Dissoverse transcends the flat, sandwich like structure of realities... really making it a true anomaly within the layers of reality. "Dissoverse" is a shortened term for "Dissonant Universe" coined by a mysterious creature long ago. The Dissoverse is infinitely old and has existed since timelines began.

The Dissoverse has an extremely diverse population that ranges from barely comprehensible beasts to human-like creatures. Some inhabitants of the Dissoverse are natives, while others arrived here through an anomalous event. Uncommonly, some Native and Non-Native inhabitants have minor anomalous abilities. All dissoverse creatures are anomalous, but not all of them posess anomalous powers.
Non-Native inhabitants do not retain their original Parallel form for long. As time passes, memories from their previous reality will be forgotten and formed to fit the pocket they have ended up in. As their mind changes, so do their physical form. There’s no way to indicate what they will become. Some semblance of their parallel self is retained. Mostly through events of Deja Vu or anemoia, but never vivid memories.
Oracles are beings who are in tune with the dissoversal web and multiple layers of spacetime, and sometimes even the subconscious! Many of them are able to unify their frequencies to get accurate perceptions of the past and future, oftentimes reading the web like a book. Oracles are generally highly respected within dissoverse societies due to their wisdom and accurate visions. Oracles tend to be old beings since this knowledge is acquired by experience rather than a trait that one is born with. Each oracle has a unique way of visualizing these branching timelines, therefore leading to unique rituals one performs to activate visions on command.
Patrons are a class of Dissoverse inhabitants that have more powerful anomalous abilities than what’s considered average. A fraction of their power can be passed down to other creatures. Each patron has a unique set of very powerful anomalous abilities and often have people beneath them, forming a unique hierarchy. Patrons often dwell in one spot, rarely risking their safety. Due to this, Patrons must be sought out. Individuals that have received power from a Patron are referred to as Knights. Oftentimes Patrons require a trial be passed or a deal be upheld in order for people to use their abilities.
Knights have gotten their namesake through the way they fight for their Patron and obey their will. Patrons and Knights are connected. Not only through a psychic link, but a physical one as well. If a Patron is injured, so will the Knight, and vice versa. If a Knight’s Patron is killed, there are two possible outcomes. The Knight will live with unhealing injuries. Or, The Knight will die. Knights can find a new Patron, but this option is unlikely.

Monoliths are an elusive class of near-godlike creatures that commonly dwell within realms unknown. Monoliths are the only creatures that are not affected over time by different layers of reality or the Dissonance. They can enter and leave the Dissoverse and all layers of reality at will. It’s unknown what Monoliths are fully capable of, but one thing is clear. They are unable to fully die. Instead of dying, Monoliths enter a state called Dormancy. Within this period, the Monolith enters a new form with a unique set of abilities. Monoliths retain few often blurry memories of their last instance.
